What is Baptism?
The act of baptism is fundamentally about identifying with Jesus Christ. When you make the decision to be baptized, you are walking in obedience to Christ’s command (Matthew 28:19-20), and are demonstrating your belief in a tangible way. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans saying,

3 “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:3,4 ESV

If you have put your faith in Christ but have never been baptized, then we invite you to take that step of obedience and publicly proclaim what the Lord has done in your life! If you would like to sign up for the next baptism, then please look at the two forms below, fill out the questionnaire, and be sure to turn it in by the Sunday prior to the baptism at the Get Involved table

Baptisms are held periodically throughout the year at North Beach (at the end of Avenida Pico) or at our church facility.

We typically recommend baptism for kids age 12 or older, but we do make exceptions on a case by case basis. If you have a child under 12 who wants to be baptized, contact us and we’d be happy to talk to you about it. We also offer Child Dedications for families with children to young to fully understand their faith and baptism. Click here for more information on Child Dedications.

To sign up, please fill out the form below or contact at (949) 369-7283 x13.

If you are already signed up, please be sure to bring a towel and wear either a wetsuit or clothes that are not see-through when wet.
