Collection for Refugees
Here's a neat opportunity to respond to the world refugee crisis in a positive way!
We will be collecting the following items for our refugee friends at Voice of the Refugees in Anaheim:
  • Diapers (size 3, 4, 5)
  • Quality toys (cars are especially needed for guns or war-related toys please)
  • Hygiene supplies (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, towels, etc.)

These are people who have recently resettled here in the US with nothing but the clothes on their backs.  VOR comes alongside them to meet their tangible needs and often their spiritual needs, as they build relationships and help in the resettling process (school registration, job search, English tutoring, and more).  We have been invited in to help care for these folks and be a Christlike example to them in their time of need!  Collection deadline is Sunday, April 2nd in the Pipeline Kids Ministry Corridor.

Then, on Sunday, April 2nd, we will gather together for lunch, a time of learning, and assembling welcome kits for refugee families using what has come in during the collection.  It's a great way to kick off Spring Break by doing something purposeful with your kids!

Other ways to help: donate household goods or furniture, distribute food, teach English, watch kids, be a job search partner or conversation partner
--> Email Summer to help in one of these ways
Special Offering: If you missed our special offering in church on March 26th and would like to donate toward a future playground for refugee kids in Kurdistan, simply click here.  Please be sure to specify "Refugees" in the description.
