February 4, 11:15am in the Cafe
Come and hear from Jordan Danchik, a friend of The Shoreline who has been living and serving with his wife and three young kids in Iraq for the last 2 years.  They’ve traded the safety and comfort of South Orange County for a life of loving others on the front lines of fighting ISIS.  Jordan will be sharing what life is like, he’ll answer questions, and we’ll cover him in prayer.  Come be inspired to love like Jesus loves!

April 2-7, 2018
We will be traveling back to a small village in the state of Veracruz, Mexico to support a small church there with construction, encouraging the pastor, and reaching out to the hundreds of kids in the community with games, crafts, and the gospel.  We built a playground there in July 2015 and can’t wait to go back to continue our relationships with the friendly people there!  Kids are welcome and no prior experience is required.  Cost will be $900 per person including airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, transportation, and ministry supplies.

Join one of our missions partners, Su Refugio Ministries, in reaching out to orphans and women in need!  The YWAM base will be your home base as you work at an orphanage, do games and crafts with kids, and assist in vocational training for women working in the red light district.  This is a very family-friendly trip with lots of time for relationship building.  The trip costs around $395 per person and includes deluxe accommodations, meals, and ministry supplies.

April 26-May 3 or 10
We will be partnering with our friends at Kids Around the World to build playgrounds in some of Northern Iraq’s refugee communities.  Many of these people fled their homeland in Syria as they escaped ISIS with only the clothes they had on their backs. Since play is crucial to a child’s emotional, physical, social, and creative growth, a playground has the potential to restore an entire community, allowing kids to be kids, and to experience a worry-free environment crucial to healthy development. No matter the culture, play is a universal need, an unspoken language that builds bridges to the hearts of the whole family.

Meeting monthly from 12:45-3:00pm in The Shoreline Conference Room (upcoming date: February 11)
A group of grandmothers and others will meet monthly to support gogos (grandparents) who are raising their orphaned grandchildren due to the AIDS pandemic, in the village of Thowolo, Malawi. We will be praying for their physical and spiritual needs and raising funds to provide fertilizer, maize, blankets, mosquito nets and more. We have an official charter from the Gogo Grandmothers organization and will follow their guidelines. Click here for more info.
