YoungLife Leaders Needed
YoungLife is looking for more volunteer leaders to reach out to unchurched middle schoolers and high schoolers in South Orange County, build relationships with them at weekly club meetings, and model Jesus to them.  This is a ministry we strongly believe in at The Shoreline, and real transformation happens in the life of young people as a result of leaders who invest their time in them.

Choose one of these volunteer opportunities:
– Food pantry (food distribution)
– Front office (phone & client intake)
– Drivers (food rescue from stores)
– Babysitters (for shelter children Thursday evenings)

Welcome Refugees
Join us sometime as we head to Anaheim to serve refugees who have resettled in the US with nothing but the clothes on their backs!  Our partner, Voice of the Refugees, comes alongside to meet tangible needs and often spiritual needs, as they build relationships and help in the resettling process (school registration, job search, English tutoring, childcare, and more).  We’ve been invited in to help care for these folks and be a Christlike example to them in their time of need.  Must be in high school or older.

Homeless Outreach

2nd Sundays, 11:30am-1:30pm
A group from our church is committed to bringing/serving food to homeless folks at Bonito Canyon Park in San Clemente on the 2nd Sunday of each month.  It’s a great way to build relationships with people in need and model the love of Jesus by helping to provide for their basic needs (think loaves and fish).
–> If you, your family, or your life group would like to join them, please contact Erin Lurker.

Safe Families for Children
Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is an innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need.  SFFC is an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home!  There are several ways to get involved: open up your home to host a child for a temporary period of time, lend your support to a host family, or mentor a parent in crisis.
–> Contact Susanna Lomeli for more information.

Meals Team
Want to be a blessing to people both inside and outside the church?  Our Meals Team delivers meals to people who have recently had a baby, folks who are ill, or anyone in need of some encouragement.  Make or buy a meal, and deliver it to the person in need.  All coordinating is done via email, and you can commit as your schedule allows.
