LOCAL MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES IN & AROUND SAN CLEMENTE

Local Serve Day
Saturday, November 10
Our next local serve day is coming up on Saturday, November 10! We’ll have a few projects lined up right here in our community, and we’d love for you to spend a few hours alongside other Shoreliners in order to bless others in and around San Clemente. Register for a project here and the project leader will contact you with meeting location and time. If you’re interested in leading a project, please let us know.
Christmas Outreach: Adopt a Military Family
We’ll be giving Military families a boost of joy this holiday season by helping to provide some items on their wish lists. It’s showing our gratitude in a tangible way along with the opportunity to reach out to our local Military community. Grab your life group, your family, or a group of friends and select a family or individual to shop for. Or, simply provide gift cards so that they can do the shopping.
Beginning November 18: Select a family profile at the Missions table
December: Shop and deliver gifts

Bless Refugees for the Holidays
Friday, November 30
Several folks from The Shoreline have cultivated relationships with a refugee and immigrant community up in Anaheim through our partnership with Voice of the Refugees (VOR). Most of them come from the Middle East or North Africa. VOR has some holiday happenings coming up that we have been invited into, and this is a great way to welcome others into our country by providing Christ-centered interaction and care. Provide some items by October 25 for their visits in homes with refugee families (click here for their Amazon wish list), or help with childcare as many with Muslim backgrounds attend a Christmas party and hear the gospel.

Care for Families in Crisis

Ongoing
Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is an innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need.  SFFC is an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home!  There are several ways to get involved: open up your home to host a child for a temporary period of time, lend your support to a host family, or mentor a parent in crisis.
