LOCAL MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES IN & AROUND SAN CLEMENTE

Blood Drive
Sunday, January 6 between 10:00am-4:00pm
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Donating blood is a tangible way to help save the lives of our friends, neighbors, and countrymen. We have invited the Red Cross to set up in the Cafe and YOU are invited to sign up to give blood. To make an appointment, click here and enter Shoreline as your sponsor code.

Building Bridges to International Students
Begins January 20
We are partnering with Cru this winter to make international students’ time in the US more meaningful. P70 is a 70-day (10-week) project with the purpose of reaching international students with the love of Jesus. It is a fun and enriching cross-cultural experience! The commitment is easy: local families will be paired up with two students from UCI from the same country or region. During the school term, participants will be involved in the following activities:

  • Meet + Greet Party on Sunday, January 20 (required)
  • Invite students to your home for a home cooked meal
  • Take them on one field trip or local outing
  • Invite them to church at least one Sunday
  • Initiate spiritual conversations and share the gospel
  • Send off the students with a gift and a resource (CD, DVD, gospel tract, book, etc.)

To sign up and be paired with two students, simply text “P70Host” to 85005.

Care for Families in Crisis

Ongoing
Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is an innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need.  SFFC is an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home!  There are several ways to get involved: open up your home to host a child for a temporary period of time, lend your support to a host family, or mentor a parent in crisis.
