January 21 was Sanctity of Human Life Sunday!
If you picked up a baby bottle to fill with loose change, cash or checks, be sure to bring those bottles back!  All funds will go to our local Pregnancy Resource Center, where volunteers walk alongside those facing crisis pregnancy situations and help save the lives of unborn babies.
Want to Help Save Lives?
Pregnancy Resource Center’s Volunteer Orientation + Training are coming up in February!  Volunteers are needed to help women in crisis pregnancy situations choose life for their babies, receive the love of Jesus, and hope for their futures!  From peer counselors to receptionists, mentors, nurses, fund raisers, and board members, come and learn more about the pro-life movement, how to counsel clients, and share the gospel.
Orientation: February 6, 7-8:30pm at Cornerstone Community Church
Training: Feb 17 (5-9pm), Feb 18 (9am-2pm), Feb 20 (5-9pm), Feb 24 (5-9pm), Feb 25 (9am-1pm)

YoungLife Leaders Needed
Do you want to be a leader?  Perhaps the question is better framed this way: Do you want to do something that is both fun and meaningful? Do you want to do something that is bigger than yourself, but also brings out the best in you? Do you want to go on adventures and watch on as God uses you to change kids’ lives while changing yours?  If the answer to any of these is yes, let’s talk. We will train you and help you find the best fit. All you need is to love Jesus and to love kids. There are so many opportunities to jump into God’s rescue plan for both middle school and high school students in South Orange County!

Welcome Refugees

Join us sometime as we head to Anaheim to serve refugees who have resettled in the US with nothing but the clothes on their backs!  Our partner, Voice of the Refugees, comes alongside to meet tangible needs and often spiritual needs, as they build relationships and help in the resettling process (school registration, job search, English tutoring, childcare, and more).  We’ve been invited in to help care for these folks and be a Christlike example to them in their time of need.  Must be in high school or older.

Build Relationships with Those Living on the Streets
2nd Sundays, 11:30am-1:30pm
A group from our church is committed to bringing and serving food to homeless folks at Bonito Canyon Park on the 2nd Sunday of each month.  It’s a great way to build relationships with people in need and model the love of Jesus by helping to provide for their basic needs (think loaves and fish).
–> If you, your family, or your life group would like to join them, please contact Erin Lurker.

Care for Families in Crisis

Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is an innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need.  SFFC is an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home!  There are several ways to get involved: open up your home to host a child for a temporary period of time, lend your support to a host family, or mentor a parent in crisis.

Show Christ’s Love by Bringing Food

Want to be a blessing to people both inside and outside the church?  Our Meals Team delivers meals to people who have recently had a baby, folks who are ill, or anyone in need of some encouragement.  Make or buy a meal, and deliver it to the person in need.  All coordinating is done via email, and you can commit as your schedule allows.
