Summer Program for Refugee Kids
July 2-3 (serve one day or both)
Get immersed in Middle Eastern culture as you head to Anaheim to serve Middle Eastern refugees who are in the process of resettling here in Orange County.  Our partner, Voice of the Refugees, comes alongside to meet tangible needs and often spiritual needs, as they build relationships and help in the resettling process (school registration, job search, English tutoring, childcare, and more).  We’ve been invited in to help with their summer program for kids.  It’s a wonderful chance to learn how to minister to Muslims and engage the unreached! Must be in high school or older.

Perspectives Class
Monday evenings, Aug 27-Dec 10 (no class on Labor Day)
God has a “world-sized” role for every Christian in His global purpose. Whether people go to distant countries or stay at home is a secondary issue. The primary issue is what most people are hungry to discover: vision to live a life of purpose. Discovering that vision makes this course valuable, and perhaps crucial, for any Christian. Perspectives is a 15-week discipleship course designed around four vantage points or “perspectives” — Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic. Each one highlights different aspects of God’s global purpose. We’re bringing in a different instructor each night that will challenge you as you wrestle through finding your place in God’s story. This class will disrupt your comfortable Christian life in a really good way!

Care for Families in Crisis

Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is an innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need.  SFFC is an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home!  There are several ways to get involved: open up your home to host a child for a temporary period of time, lend your support to a host family, or mentor a parent in crisis.
