Jesus commissioned His disciples to go and make disciples of all the nations. We firmly believe that still applies to us today. Because of that, we are supporting work in various countries to further His kingdom, develop communities, and spread the good news.
The Shoreline has had outreach in over 20 countries. As a church, we are always trying to Be aware of where the Lord might lead us to next. We work to support and encourage churches or missionaries in these locations since they are the ones committed long-term.
Our next Tijuana Day Trip on Dec. 21 will be a wonderful time of outreach to kids and families as we celebrate Christmas with them. We'll play games, do crafts, have lunch together, and exchange lots of smiles and hugs. Christmas is a season of giving so let’s bless our friends across the border with the gift of our time and love as this may be the highlight of their season.
We travel regularly to Tijuana to build homes and churches and bring God’s love to families through games, crafts, and shared meals. We also provide school sponsorships to kids in at least three communities for $360/year for K-12 and $600/year for university. We always work through the local church there and have relationships with several communities in the Tijuana area. If you’d like to know when we’re heading down for a day trip or a weekend trip, or would like information on sponsoring a kid in need, please sign up for our email list.
We’ve been serving in a remote village in Veracruz, Mexico since we built a playground there in 2015. Our goal was to reach an unreached group who had no consistent spiritual care. In the years that followed, we’ve run medical, dental, and vision clinics and treated scores of patients; we’ve shared Jesus with hundreds of kids through games, crafts, and Bible lessons; and we’ve helped bolster the local church’s presence in the community through construction, a water project, and encouragement and skills training for the pastors. Once a place of discouragement and hard soil, this special place is becoming fruitful as a community now feels seen and loved. People are walking closer with Jesus as a result of God using our “yes” over the long term.
As many refugees are being resettled in our area, we have an incredible opportunity to come alongside and welcome them in Jesus’ name. Can you imagine the transition to life in a completely new culture? We find teams of volunteers and get them trained to surround both individual refugees and refugee families with practical assistance in the form of securing basic necessities, English language support, school enrollment for kids, job search and more. Please pray with us for these precious people as they transition to life in a different culture, and for our teams who serve them. We are always looking for leads on affordable housing options for our refugee friends.
Through our partnership with Grafted Ministries, we offer yearly trips to Israel and study guide classes to teach us what the Bible says about the Jewish people, why they are important in God’s eyes, and our Christian responsibility toward them. God’s redemptive plan for the world started with the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. The trips (temporarily on hold due to current events) help the Bible to come alive as we read passages on site and serve the people there. The class explores how we as Christians are grafted into this plan, and where that leaves the Jews.
